Thousands marched on Sunday from the Washington Monument to the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC for a “Defeat the Mandates” rally against vaccine requirements for work and to patronize businesses.
“We, the people, will not comply!” chanted people marching along the Reflecting Pool.
Counter-demonstration to the “Defeat the mandates” event was sparse. A handful of activists wore tin foil hats and mocked the group as they marched by.
Dr. Robert Malone was among the speakers featured speaking at the Lincoln Memorial. He has become a popular figure among the anti-mandate movement following a Joe Rogan appearance.
Malone claimed of vaccines, “They’re not working, they’re not completely safe” to cheers.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. likened Dr. Fauci to Mussolini, which led the crowd to chant “lock him up!”
He describd COVID-era policies as inescapable, adding that “Even in Hitler’s Germany, you could cross the Alps into Switzerland. You could hide in an attic like Anne Frank did,” which caught a rebuke from the Auschwitz Museum.
Exploiting of the tragedy of people who suffered, were humiliated, tortured & murdered by the totalitarian regime of Nazi Germany – including children like Anne Frank – in a debate about vaccines & limitations during global pandemic is a sad symptom of moral & intellectual decay.
