Early Monday morning activists with the “DC Movement for Black Lives” held a vigil and protest commemorating the death of 31-year old unarmed black man Terrence Sterling, who was gunned down by police while riding his motor cycle exactly a year ago. The activists feel justice was never served, since the officer was never fired or indicted. Steven Douglass, Sterling’s best friend, said, “we had some hope left, but now we have nothing.”

April Goggans, an organizer with the “Movement for Black Lives” says that DC Mayor Muriel Bowser “has shown that she has no regard for black lives.”
