Activists rallied Thursday night outside the private community where Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and his wife Ginni Thomas live to condemn him as “a corrupt justice with a Nazi sugar daddy” and her as an “insurrectionist.”

Recent reporting by ProPublica scrutinized Justice Thomas over his relationship with Republican billionaire donor Harlan Crow.

“You’ve been bought and paid for,” one activist explained into the megaphone. “The only thing you can do to possibly salvage one of the branches of our very, very fucking fragile democracy is to remove yourself, sir!”

“Impeach Clarence Thomas!” they chanted.

Fairfax Country Police stood across the street and kept their distance as the activists chanted outside Justice Thomas’s neighborhood.

“1! 2! 3! 4! We want ethics on our court! 5! 6! 7! 8! We the people cannot wait!”

“Ginni Thomas is an insurrectionist!”

“Clarence Thomas and all of the six conservative justices are corrupt, illegitimate, and problematic, and need to go,” an organizer of the protest told News2Share afterwards.

They describe that “Harlan Crow collects Nazi propaganda and that’s where all Clarence Thomas’s money seems to come from, so easy to conclude that Clarence has a Nazi sugar daddy.”

“People shouldn’t just forget that SCOTUS is corrupt,” they say about why the group has been using this tactic for a year.

“So it’s important to continuously push back against them and this incredibly awful, corrupt institution needs to be held accountable for what it does to the American people.”

Another participant (who was also celebrating their birthday at the protest) said that “I want America to live up to her ideals.”

“Clarence Thomas and the other five conservative justices on the Supreme Court are using their religion to dictate to people like me who don’t have any religion, and I don’t like it.”

These demonstrations outside conservative justices’ homes largely began with the overturning of Roe v Wade.

“I’m not trying to intimidate him. I’m not trying to change his mind on anything. But I just want him to know that we are not sitting down and taking this kindly. And he is unethical, and he needs to be impeached and get off the Supreme Court.”
