Dozens of activists led by “Look Ahead America” leader Matt Braynard gathered Saturday afternoon outside the jail in Washington DC where many January 6 defendants are still being detained to demand their immediate release.

The group sang songs like “God Bless America” and “Do you hear the people sing?” as armed correctional officers stood watch. No violence or arrests occurred.
