Six activists with Refuse Fascism dressed as “handmaids” were arrested Thursday morning after blocking the entrance to Dirksen Senate Office building in Washington DC.

The protesters tried to physically block the Judiciary Committee’s vote to move Amy Coney Barrett nomination to the senate floor.

As the Judiciary Committee voted to proceed Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s Supreme Court nomination to the Supreme Court, Senate Democrats boycotted the vote.

As senators including Schumer, Klobuchar, and booker held a press conference on the steps of the United States Capitol, anti-Trump protesters heckled the senators, who they claim are “complicit.”
