A heavily armed coalition of right wingers including militia activists, members of the “Proud Boys” group, and Trump supporters faced off Saturday afternoon with Black Lives Matter and Antifa in Columbus, Ohio.
The event began as a rally against an executive order that could impose jail time for failing to wear a mask in certain parts of Ohio. Members of the “boogaloo” movement had participated in the rally, but largely sided with BLM and antifa when police split the two sides.
At least one member of the Ohio chapter of a new “Black Panther” organization also participated in the anti-mask rally.
