Activists delivered 36,249 signatures to the DC Board of Elections on Monday for an initiative that would make psychedelic plants and fungi such as “Magic Mushrooms” the “lowest law enforcement priority” in Washington D.C.

The activists spoke out and had a dance party as the government began counting the 13,419 pages of signitures.

Assuming at least 35,000 signatures survive any challenges, the proposal – Initiative 81 – will be on the general election ballot in D.C. in November.
