Right-wing group “Patriot Prayer” and their allies such as the Proud Boys rallied together on Saturday in Portland, Oregon. Left wing counter-demonstrators including multiple antifa groups physically opposed the demonstration, and left several injured. Four arrests were reportedly made throughout the day.
The two groups faced eachother either side of Southwest Naito Parkway, where hundreds of police officers from Portland and Oregon State Police tried to keep them separated.
The situation escalated when antifa began throwing rocks and water bottles at police. Police responded by pushing them back several blocks by force, including rubber bullets, pepper spray and flash bangs.
