On Wednesday, News2Share editor-in-chief Ford Fischer and interim news director Alejandro Alvarez will travel to Durham, North Carolina for Moogfest, a futurist conference that looks at the convergence of music, art and technology. Many of the speakers and attendees are interested in the types of technologies and questions that News2Share’s feature documentary, Transhuman, will be all about. News2Share will be interviewing former transhumanist presidential candidate Zoltan Istvan, an advisor for the film, and many others.
Moogfest takes place from the 18th-21st of May.
We’ll also visiting Brendan Herrera, a rifle manufacturer with some opinions on the future of weaponry, a topic some transhumanists have begun closing in on.
From there, Ford will be heading to Miami to film at the Church of Perpetual Life, a community of transhumanists and futurists who believe technology can elongate lifespan and even defeat death.
