Alejandro Alvarez
Alejandro Alvarez is a Washington-based journalist and photographer reporting on activism, politics, and international relations. He has been a producer and reporter at News2Share since shortly after its inception in 2013, providing digital coverage of emerging social and political movements including Black Lives Matter, the 2016 election, and public response to Donald Trump's presidency. Alejandro also provided logistical support and social media direction during News2Share’s coverage of unrest in Ferguson and the aftermath of the 2014 Ukrainian revolution. His past work can be found at POLITICO, the Atlantic Council, and the Durango Herald. He continues to contribute comprehensive coverage of activism at News2Share, with his work making recent appearances on BuzzFeed News and the Washington Post. Alejandro is also a cinematographer on News2Share’s upcoming feature-length documentary, Transhuman. He spends most of his time online aggregating activism and world politics news through his Twitter feed. He can frequently be spotted in the real world chasing protests in Washington with his DSLR and characteristic gray beanie.
