A new report was released this week by the TSA detailing a test of their security protocols. Undercover participants attempted to sneak 70 guns and fake bombs through TSA security checkpoints. Of the 70, a total of 67 made it through, revealing a 95% rate of failure.
“That’s pretty much garbage. That’s really awful,” one passenger told News2Share at the Ronald Reagan National Airport. “Who’s to say they couldn’t get something that couldexplode and kill us on there?”
There’s currently no word on how the report will affect future safety protocol, but for now the TSA’s director, Melvin Carraway, has stepped down.
