Following the decision not to indict New York City police officer Daniel Pantaleo in the chokehold death of Eric Garner, protesters all across the country took to their streets to protest. Washington DC protesters shut down Dupont circle as well as several other roadways throughout the night. The protests remained relatively peaceful with no known arrests despite a strong police presence.
