Gathering outside the White House Wednesday evening, several protestors chanted songs such as “Do You Hear the People Sing?” from Les Miserables in support of Democracy in Hong Kong. Participants carried umbrellas in solidarity with the citizens of Hong Kong who had had to hold them in order to shield themselves from pepper spray and tear gas.
