Today, protestors gathered to speak out against mass deportation of undocumented immigrants. Gathering on Massachusetts Avenue, they chained together their legs and handcuffed their wrists together inside of hard piping, making it nearly impossible for them to be removed.
When police arrived and established a parameter, they began sawing into the piping and cutting all of the chains to make their arrest. Over about two hours, protestors were forced out of the road and News2share’s Trey Yingst managed to capture the scene on his phone. Following the protest, he spoke to two organizers of this event, who explained that next door an event including Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama was taking place, who are both seen as enemies of undocumented immigrants.
