“No one wants DeSantis!” Both leftist and pro-Trump protesters gathered in Miami Wednesday to rally against Ron DeSantis running for president.
“The Trumpers don’t want DeSantis! The leftists don’t want DeSantis! The socialists don’t want DeSantis!” one progressive speaker said. “The immigrants don’t want DeSantis! The Black people don’t want DeSantis! The gay children don’t want DeSantis!”
The progressive activists marching DeSantis crossed paths with “Blacks for Trump.”
“That’s okay! We’re not here for Trump, we’re here for DeSantis,” said someone on the progressive side.
“Yes, I’m against DeSantis because he’s a sell-out to our Trump and the deplorables that helped him get in,” one Blacks for Trump participant said.
While both the left and the right showed up in Miami to protest against DeSantis, they were separated across the street from one another.
An organizer on the left side noted the unusual nature of them calling for a protest on the same side as right wing personality Laura Loomer, leading to an “alternate timeline where we’re sitting across the street protesting the same person and there’s Trumpers and leftists!”
“Very interesting, and at least it’s something we can agree on!”
Loomer herself attended the pro-Trump side and said “all the worst people support Ron DeSantis.”
While the two sides clearly both hate DeSantis, it was also clear that there wasn’t a true coalition being formed in Miami. The crowds yelled expletives at one another throughout the event.
“All of us against DeSantis!” the progressives sang.
Finally, the progressive anti-DeSantis side let out an enormous “boo!” all together when they learned he had formally made the presidential announcement they were anticipating.
