“BEAT TRUMP, REPLACE BIDEN” signs said.
The climate activists hoping to encourage Biden to step down as the Democratic nominee entered the building housing the local office of Senator Chris Coons, hoping to get his support.
They were told a staff member would speak with them, but none did.
“We are here today because Biden is on track to lose, and to lose badly, to Donald Trump,” explained climate activist Michael Greenberg.
“It is profoundly selfish that President Biden is staying in the race and in effect handing the presidency to Donald Trump because of his own ego and his own narcissism.”
After some final chanting, the group left without having gotten their meeting with any staffer for Senator Coons.
