Supporters of Alex Pretti gathered outside the Department of Veteran’s Affairs in Washington DC tonight to blow whistles and mourn his shooting by Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis.
“Enough!” they chanted at the makeshift vigil.
Pretti had worked as a VA nurse prior to his shooting death by federal agents on Saturday. DHS, the parent agency of CBP whose agents shot Pretti, are investigating the shooting.
Alex Pretti “was killed by two CBP agents,” said Congressman James Walkinshaw. “But he was actually killed by the Trump administration.”
“He was killed by Donald Trump and Kristi Noem and Greg Bovino and Russell Vought and Stephen Miller.”
“We want justice, we want peace,” vigil-goers chanted for Alex Pretti. “We want ICE off our streets!”
“ICE out now!” chanted the group, who marched to the White House. “ICE must go now!”
