Members of the Revolutionary Communist Party attempted to light two American flags on fire tonight in front of the White House on Thursday, Independence Day.
They were confronted by Proud Boys and other pro-Trump activists. TwoRevolutionary Communist Party members were arrested in the altercation, and a third leftist activist who wasn’t a member of the group was arrested but released.
Following the altercation, Metropolitan Police Department escorted the Proud Boys and other Trump supporters to Harry’s Restaurant, a bar in central Washington DC known as a frequent location for conservative groups.
Here’s the Secret Service Statement on the Communist Party vs Proud Boys fight.
They say two were arrested (I counted three, but I may be wrong), and two officers are reportedly in the hospital. pic.twitter.com/wpxu9YG7wC
