Pro-Kurdish protesters chanted and danced in front of the White House in support of the YGB, who fights ISIS in Syria. In recent weeks, Turkey has amassed a significant military presence on its border with Syria and has attacked civilians near Efrîn, killing several people. The protesters say these attacks effectively help ISIS by hurting ISIS’s enemies.

“Turkey is against everything proper Western values stand for. They’re funding ISIS, they’re training ISIS.”

Two former members of YGB, Lucas Chapman and Michael Fonda, say ISIS soldiers have been found with Turkish passports and ID, indicating that Turks are aiding or at least complicit in ISIS’s spread through Syria.

Meghan Bodette, the event’s organizer, called it a success.
