Protesters marched Saturday from the Capitol to the Environmental Protection Agency to protest the North Dakota Access Pipeline.

“The work to protect our environment, and the rights of the indigenous peoples in this country and globally, is far from over and we must continue building on this energy and moment,” the protesters say.

The group was affiliated with, DC stands with Standing Rock a local coalition of Native Americans working to fight for indigenous rights.

The demonstration remained peaceful, and enjoyed enormous attendance in spite of freezing temperatures.
