White House Commentator and News2share contributor Jon-Christopher Bua asks Press Secretary Josh Earnest about the current policy which allows residents of several countries to enter the United States without a passport. This comes amidst reports and speculation that radicalized individuals from Western countries may be traveling to the Middle East and coming back to commit violence.
John-Christopher Bua says, “In light of another tragic killing of an American Journalist by ISIL my question to Josh Earnest seems even more poignant. After Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron’s impassioned address to The House of Commons on Monday and his raising the terrorist threat level to “severe”, I asked MR Earnest whether President Obama would consider some changes to US policies regarding National Security like eliminating the Visa Waiver Program – which allows Citizens of 38 countries to travel to the US without a VISA for a stay of 90 days or less. This all is under way while President Obama travels to meet the Baltic Nation Leaders – to assure them of US support followed by a full NATO Summit in Wales this week.”
